Tumors of
the Head and neck affect more than 80,000
Americans each year and another 400,000
citizens who develop skin cancer in the head
and
neck region. For the tumor patients
about 75% of these cases present late,
resulting in longer, more costly treatment
and less favorable results for the patient
and their families.
The
Institute’s focus is on treatment,
educational outreach, research, clinical
trials and recovery services. We
have assembled a highly respected
multidisciplinary team of specialists,
the finest in the country. The team
responds to a newly diagnosed patient’s
needs immediately and works to have a
treatment plan ready for implementation.
The program
has been in place for over ten years.
Our new location in Omaha at the Midwest
Cancer Center, offers the patient and their
family a way to receive all their care and
treatment in one facility. The
Institute is a portal of entry for
everything the patient may need including:
diagnosis, treatment,
education, rehabilitation, support, and
hope. The Institute is a place of
comfort and solace for those who are dealing
with the diagnosis and treatment of cancer,
but it is also open to those who want help
with cancer prevention and early detection.
The Institute is committed to treating
the whole person.
