Thomas J. Dobleman M.D., F.A.C.S.
Dr. Thomas
J. Dobleman, has specialized
in
head and neck cancer surgery and
reconstructive surgery for 18 years. A
native of San Francisco, Dr. Dobleman has
practiced in Nebraska since 1990. He
attended medical school at UCLA Medical
Center.
His
residency and fellowship from 1983-1990 were
completed at the University of Chicago
Medical Center under one of the Nation's
foremost head and neck cancer and
reconstructive surgeons. He is a
fellow in the American College of Surgeons,
American Academy of Otolaryngology Head and
Neck Surgery, American Academy of Facial
Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery and the
American Head and Neck Society. He is
also member of the North American Skull Base
Society and The American Rhinological
Society.
Dr.
Dobleman is also a member of the Creighton
University Medical School Faculty and offers
rotations for M4 Medical Students. The
rotation is an elective and is 4 weeks in
length. He is setting up an accredited
Head and Neck Cancer Fellowship for Cancer
and Reconstruction for the ENT who has
completed residency.
Dr.
Dobleman serves on the Board of the Bergan
Mercy Foundation, and in recognition of his
service to the community he has been honored
as follows:
- Recipient
of the Gerald T. Bergan Award
- Youth
volunteer of the year for the American
Cancer Society
- American Head and Neck
Society volunteer of the year
- Named surgeon
of the year by the Omaha chapter of the
Association of Operating Room Nurses.
Dr.
Dobleman is married with six children.
Gamini Soori, MD, FACP, FRCP
Dr. Soori
graduated with honors from the University of
Ce ylon
School of Medicine, in Sri Lanka and
completed his internal medicine residency in
England. He received his fellowship training
in medical oncology and hematology
at the University of Wisconsin Comprehensive
Cancer Center; Madison,
Wis. Dr. Soori
completed additional training in hematology
and oncology at the Institute of Cancer
Research & Royal Marsden Hospital in London,
England. He is board certified in internal
medicine, geriatric medicine, medical
oncology and hematology.
Dr. Soori
has a special interest and expertise in head
and neck cancer and has authored articles in
peer-reviewed journals. As the medical
director of the Alegent Health Bergan Mercy
Cancer Center, he serves as the chairman of
the Oncology Committee. Dr. Soori is
also a clinical professor of medicine at
Creighton University School of Medicine.
He is a member of the American Society of
Clinical Oncology and American Society of
Hematology and American Society for Blood
and Marrow Transplantation. He is a
fellow of the American College of Physicians
and a fellow of the Royal College of
Physicians of London, England.
Dr. Soori
is married and has two children. |
